During the Renaissance Lorenzo de Medici "Il Magnifico" used to praise: "Chi vuol essere lieto sia, del doman non c'e certezza."- "Who wants to be happy, be happy for tomorrow there is no certainty."
Inspired by the regional recipes of Tuscany and Umbria, Il Bico brings to Kenmore Square a unique, flavorful cuisine that is found along the famous Tuscan countryside. A specialty item chosen specifically for the menu from the region is a unique, delicious flatbread called "BICO", from the ancient Golden Valley of Cetona, a small medieval village situated on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. With pleasing the customers’ palate in mind, every dish will have the executive chef’s special care and detailed attention, from “La pappa al pomodoro”, a Tuscan tomato and bread soup, to “the Bico”, a flat bread stuffed and baked with fresh mozzarella cheese and vegetables, to the more sophisticated Italian specialties such as “the Ossobuco with risotto alla Milanese and Stracotto Fiorentino”. The delectable pizzas are prepared according to Neopolitan tradition (thin-crusted) with only the freshest of toppings. Also, the creative menu is prepared with products imported from the region to maintain the authentic flavor of the cuisine.
Everything at Il Bico is prepared with love and pride, and is intended to awaken your palate with an extravaganza of delights. For reservations, or more information,
