SERGIO BELLOTTI
Born in Bari,Italy in 1968,Sergio Bellotti
began drumming at the age of fifteen.
Soon After,he was playing with various bands
in the city's rock/funk scene.
In 1990 he moved to Torino,where he began a carrer
in nightclubs,discos
and cruise ships(on which he backed several notebale
European performers.)
In 1995 Sergio moved to Boston to attend the
Berklee College of Music where he studied with
John Ramsay, Jon Hazilla, Bob Moses, Jamey Haddad,
Skip Hadden, Lenny Nelson and Kenwood Dennard.
Upon graduating in 1997,he began performing and
recording with a number of Boston's jazz and fusion bands.
December of that year saw the realease of Sergio's
first solo CD,1:11,featuring Jim Kelly and Bruce Gertz.
A tour of Italy and Switzerland with the Jim
kelly trio followed in March of "98.
Sergio's most recent accomplishment is the realease
of SPAJAZZY,
a funk/fusion album produced in collaboration
with bassist Tino D'Agostino and featuring guests Jim Kelly and Mike Stern
on guitars.
On it,Sergio alternates some blazing fusion patterns
with some serious in the pocket
funk.

Sergio plays an italian brand of drums called
DAILA, along with Zildjan cymbals and Regal Tip sticks.
His immediate goal is to increase his visibility
as a drummer within the jazz/fusion community.
